The Great Blizzard of 2005

Yes...I know we are only 24 days into 2005 – so in a way it was the great blizzard of 2005 so far. I had some visitors this weekend, one of them came all the way from San Antonio, Texas - so she got a good kick out of the storm – all 13 inches of it. While it wasn’t one of the bigger storms, it was nice to finally get some snow here. Fresh snow just somehow puts a nice big blanket of pleasantness to New York City. We were out and about on Saturday – and before we headed back home we trudged along and made it to Central Park. With hardly anyone there, we decided to hop over a fence into an undisturbed meadow of fresh snow. We plopped down and made snow angels in about a foot of clean white snow. Some other people saw us doing this and decided to jump over the fence and make their own angels as well. Then on Sunday, I just stayed indoors all day getting my fill of football. Was very tempted to go to the bakery but it was just too cold. The dessert and coffee will just have to wait for another day. But alas my friends, all good things must come to an end. As the city was covered in a nice sheet of white - after a day or two with all the traffic, shoveling, walking and dogs – the city is now or will be covered in a blanket of nasty gray with a few yellow spots here and there. Oh well...that’s just the way the snowflake falls I guess.

Bob, welcome to the winter wonderland of the snow belt! Winter is my favorite season! The snow does make everything look INCREDIBLE! Glad you had fun at Central Park and it is beautiful in the winter with a new coat of snow. When you get enough of the gray and cold weather ...head to the tanning beds! Winter here lasts for months and months! So, when you are feeling bla... try some fake sun!
The tan man!
